Heliosand has completed its 6th prototype, proving industrial feasibility and validating next-gen concrete performance. The core technology is a giant Fresnel-lens solar concentrator, capable of reaching temperatures of up to 4000°C.
In direct contact with the sun!
The Sun’s surface is about 5,500 °C ; far beyond most materials. Tungsten, one of the most heat-resistant metals, melts at 3,422 °C. We’ve melted tungsten using just 1 m² of our solar concentrator, thanks to integrated tracking and custom optics. Heliosand pushes solar concentration into a new dimension.
NASA reports every square meter of Earth receives 342 watts of solar heat, year-round. That’s equal to 44 million full-capacity power plants. A colossal energy source still vastly underused.
