A natural resource to decarbonize the industry. A PhD in physics and with experience in the finance world, Rafik Kheffache decided to embark on a new entrepreneurial venture to align with his goals. After conducting numerous studies and research on the sands of the Sahara, he was captivated by the power of solar energy. « It is the most abundant energy source on Earth, » he insists. « A plant the size of the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region would be enough to power the entire planet 24/7. »
Eager to optimize its use, he decided to launch his start-up, Heliosand, and leverage the phenomenon of solar energy concentration to decarbonize industries. Thanks to a mobile device equipped with a ten-meter-diameter magnifying glass, this « elementary part » can concentrate a large portion of sunlight.
