Based in Isère and Rhône, the start-up Heliosand has raised €400K to accelerate the industrialization of its solar furnaces for industrial applications. The company is set to commission its first units in the coming weeks. In its workshop in Saint-Marcellin (38), the Heliosand team is busy manufacturing these unique yet highly efficient machines. Each unit features a 4 m² lens that, by concentrating the sun’s rays, transforms quarry sludge into obsidian.
